Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and part layouts to plan fabrication steps
• Set up and operate fabrication equipment such as press brakes, rollers, shears, and punch tools
• Measure, cut, bend, and form sheet metal materials with close attention to detail
• Use precision measuring tools including calipers, micrometers, and height gauges to verify dimensions
• Fit, align, and assemble fabricated components for prototypes, jigs, or fixtures
• Work with team members and engineers to identify issues and suggest improvements in process or fit
• Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work area

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience in metal fabrication, model making, or tool and die-related work
• Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints or engineering drawings
• Skilled in the use of fabrication machinery (press brake, roller, shear, grinder, etc.)
• Proficient with precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy, quality, and craftsmanship
• Capable of working independently on custom or prototype builds
• High school diploma or GED required; trade school or technical training preferred
