Job Title: QA/QC Inspector – Commercial Construction

Employment Type: Full-Time

Reports To: QA/QC Manager or Project Superintendent

Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced QA/QC Inspector to join our team and ensure the highest standards of quality across our commercial construction projects. As a key member of the field operations team, you will be responsible for inspecting work, verifying compliance with project specifications, and supporting documentation for quality assurance and control.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct daily inspections of construction activities to ensure compliance with contract documents, codes, and company standards
• Review and verify materials, workmanship, and installation methods across multiple trades
• Monitor subcontractor performance and adherence to quality requirements
• Assist in developing and implementing project-specific QA/QC plans, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), and checklists
• Document inspection results, non-conformances, and corrective actions
• Support project closeout by compiling turnover packages and quality documentation
• Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, and subcontractors to resolve quality issues
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and participate in HSE audits as needed

Qualifications

• 3+ years of QA/QC experience in commercial construction or related field
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes
• Familiarity with CSI divisions and trade-specific scopes (e.g., concrete, steel, finishes, MEP)
• Proficient in reading blueprints, specifications, and technical documents
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong communication and reporting abilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and QA/QC software platforms
• Certifications such as ICC, ACI, or OSHA 30 are a plus

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to perform physical activities such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, and handling materials.

• Must be able to work in various weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold.

• Capable of standing and walking for extended periods.

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
