Job Overview

Fairview is seeking a Physician Assistant - Adult Psychiatry Inpatient to join the Fairview medical team at the brand-new, state-of-the-art 144-bed behavioral health hospital. Capitol Park Mental Health Hospital located in St. Paul, Minnesota has an exciting opportunity to work with a growing team and help shape the delivery of compassionate, high-quality inpatient psychiatric care from the ground up.

Practice Details:

• This position is a full-time (1.0 FTE) role that includes coverage during weekdays, weekends, nights, and holidays , as well as participation in the call rotation to ensure 24/7 continuity of care.

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and manage treatment plans for adolescent/adult and/or geriatric inpatients.

• Lead multidisciplinary Capitol Park treatment teams, including therapists, nurses, and social workers.

• Participate in daily clinical rounds and team meetings.

• Provide clinical leadership and oversight for Capitol Park behavioral health staff.

• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and hospital program development.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program

• Board Certified or Board Eligible (BC/BE) through the NCCPA

• Licensed or eligible for licensure as a Physician Assistant with the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice

• Ability to obtain and/or maintain DEA certification for the State of Minnesota

• Must meet credentialing and privileging criteria/qualifications

• BLS certification required

• Previous experience in acute care, adolescent care, and/or geriatric care preferred

• Experience in an inpatient psychiatric setting is required

Compensation Disclaimer

The posted pay range is for a 40-hour workweek (1.0 FTE). The actual rate of pay offered within this range may depend on several factors, such as FTE, skills, knowledge, relevant education, experience, and market conditions. Additionally, our organization values pay equity and considers the internal equity of our team when making any offer. Hiring at the maximum of the range is not typical.
