Mail Clerk
Summary:
System One is partnering with a client seeking a detail-oriented and dependable contractor to process returned customer correspondence. Responsibilities include sorting and classifying large volumes of mail, updating customer records in spreadsheets, verifying account information in an internal database, and making occasional outbound calls for address verification. This role requires strong attention to detail, data entry proficiency, and the ability to work independently in a structured environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Sort, review, and classify returned customer mail
Update and maintain customer records in spreadsheets and internal systems
Verify account details and address information
Contact customers to confirm or update contact details
Lift and handle trays of mail (up to 50 lbs) as needed
Meet daily and weekly processing goals with accuracy
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Administrative, mailroom, or clerical experience
Proficiency in data entry and spreadsheets (Excel or Google Sheets)
Experience with CRM or CIS platforms preferred
Strong organizational and time management skills
Bilingual in English/Spanish a plus
Comfortable promoting digital service options when appropriate
