Jack in the Box - Assistant Restaurant Manager Assistant Restaurant Manager at Jack in the Box, Giants Baseball & Softball Camps. Position Summary Responsible for managing restaurant operations, in conjunction with or in the absence of the Restaurant Manager. Uses discretion in daily management decisions with accountability for ensuring effective execution of the Service Profit Chain (SPC) and Brand Promise. Primary responsibilities include providing excellent internal service, external service, building restaurant sales and profit while ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Key Duties / Responsibilities Internal Service: Recruit, select, train, develop, evaluate and monitor restaurant employees. Ensure staffing levels, training systems, and internal promotion paths are aligned with company procedures. Foster a friendly, clean, safe environment and treat all employees with respect, motivating them to achieve high performance. External Service: Provide guests with an exceptional experience, hold the team accountable for service and food quality, monitor adherence to all systems and food safety requirements, respond to guest concerns promptly, and maintain a positive brand image. Higher Profits: Partner with the Restaurant Manager to analyze operational and financial performance using management tools, identify trends, develop action plans, protect the brand, and monitor costs and budget adherence. Qualifications Education: High School Diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred. Experience: Internal – Minimum 1+ years as Shift Leader or 1 year as Assistant Manager in a customer service environment and 100% certified in all workstations; External – Minimum 3 years as Assistant Manager with some P & L responsibility. Knowledge / Skills / Abilities: Minimum 18 years old; must complete Assistant Manager training classes; must be ServSafe certified; ability to speak, read, write English; excellent interpersonal skills; basic math competency; analytical and organizational skills; self‑starter; knowledge of PC software; valid driver’s license and vehicle for bank deposits and business trips; integrity and ethical behavior. Physical Requirements: Ability to stand and walk 85–95% of shift; lift/carry 10–65 lbs; move freely; operate restaurant equipment and a motor vehicle; use a computer keyboard.
