Purpose of Position:

Responsible for global sourcing and procurement activities related to strategic agrochemicals, fertilizers & seeds categories, working closely with the regional teams in Asia, Africa, Middle East, and North/Latin America.

Accountabilities:

• Work as business partner, providing business insights conclusions and recommendations in a structured and effective way to the key stakeholders including Finance, Sales, Product Management and R&D, expanding, and nurturing mutual collaboration.
• Keep abreast of market trends in agrochemicals, fertilizers & seeds. Build market knowledge and intelligence related to the agrochemicals, fertilizers & seeds industry in general, with that identifying new sourcing opportunities securing supply and business continuity.
• Liaise and negotiate with key suppliers and search for new business opportunities; delivery through price, value analysis (VA), volume leveraging, and best cost country sourcing.
• Champion and sponsor risk mitigation efforts to identify and prioritize risks, plan risk responses, and monitor and report levels of risk exposure concerning financial, capacity, quality, and compliance potential issues in the supply chain in general.
• Ensure full utilization of internal synergies to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the global procurement process.

• Minimum Skills Required:

  • 4-year College Degree or equivalent from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum 8+ years of experience in a strategic role at a supply chain or procurement position (preferably in the Food and Beverage Industry).
  • Track record in negotiating and convincing skills in a multi-cultural and multi-disciplined environment; persuasive, able to build positive relationships with ease and influence at all levels.
  • Strong written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Bilingual: Spanish and English.
  • High degree of maturity and ability to lead through difficult situations successfully, strong project management skills and ability to translate vision into action.
  • Ability to multi-task and juggle many competing demands.
  • Passionate about Sourcing and Procurement value proposition.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to challenge the status quo.
  • Prolific in Microsoft Office 365 programs (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
