Design Engineer

Mechanical Engineer - Tire Design & Manufacturing | $65K-$85K DOE | 1st Shift

Location: Freeport, IL (Directly off the Highway)
Shift: 1st Shift (Daytime Hours)
Salary: $65,000-$85,000/year, depending on experience

Are you a mechanically-minded problem solver with a passion for precision and product quality? Join our Research & Development team as a Tire Engineer , where you'll play a key role in designing, analyzing, and improving tire construction and performance for production.

What You'll Do

• Analyze cured tires to ensure quality and performance.
• Oversee test tire procurement and supervise related processes.
• Monitor and follow up on defect control measures.
• Issue quality instructions and maintain tire specifications.
• Audit all phases of factory processing for compliance and efficiency.

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent experience).
• 2+ years of experience in tire manufacturing or related field preferred.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Familiarity with AS400 systems is a plus.
