We're on the lookout for a Project Manager who's experienced in commercial, institutional, and industrial construction to join our team at a top rated Chicago area commercial general contractor. A little about us Harbour Contractors, based in Plainfield Illinois, has been a top general contractor in the Chicago area for over 60 years. We're a fast-paced, energetic group looking for Project Managers who know their way around commercial and institutional general building construction to join our growing team. As Project Managers, you'll be crucial members of our team, representing our company to our clients and taking charge of our projects from start to finish. Our projects cover both public and private sectors, ranging from $1 Million to $50 Million, and include: Design Build Construction Management at Risk Lump Sum What you'll be up to Leading project construction teams on multiple projects Helping out with business development and estimating for new projects and clients Getting involved in project interviews and presentations Keeping our clients happy Working on bid package scopes of work Negotiating and awarding subcontracts Managing material procurement and submittals Handling change orders Creating and updating CPM schedules Processing project payment applications Preparing project financial projections, cash flows, and monthly reports Keeping the management team in the loop on project status Wrapping up projects smoothly Supporting the estimating department Getting involved in Pre-Construction Management What we need from you A B.S. in Construction Management or Civil Engineering At least 7 years' experience as a project manager on commercial projects over $2 million Strong leadership skills, organizational skills, and great communication skills, both written and oral, plus solid technical construction knowledge and experience The ability to juggle multiple projects Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in P6 scheduling software On-screen takeoff software Microsoft Office Procore Project Management software skills are a bonus Why you'll love working here We're a family-owned and operated company with over 60 years of history We've got a laid-back work environment with a 'get it done' attitude Company-subsidized benefits Great people, great owners, and a fantastic place to work Employment Type: Full Time Years Experience: 5 - 10 years Salary: $95,000 - $140,000 Annual Bonus/Commission: No
