About the Role
The Company is seeking a Career Coach to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing individual and group career coaching sessions to students, evaluating their needs, and offering support in various areas of the career development process. This includes but is not limited to, interest and personality inventory interpretation, major and career exploration, resume assistance, job search and interview preparation, and the development of career plans. The role also involves facilitating the use of online career management systems, promoting first-year experience and alumni mentoring, and contributing to the Quality Enhancement Plan. Applicants must have a Master's degree in a relevant field and a working knowledge of career assessments and counseling techniques. The role requires the ability to communicate effectively, exceptional interpersonal skills, and a demonstrated commitment to working with individuals from diverse backgrounds. The Career Coach will also be involved in developing and facilitating career readiness presentations and workshops, coordinating on-campus career events, and supporting the marketing and communications efforts of the Center for Career Development and Internships. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with career services management systems is essential. Preferred qualifications include two years of experience in a related field and training in career assessment tools such as the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator or Strong Interest Inventory.
