Assistant Research Scientist - Georgia Cancer Center Job ID: 254810 Location: Augusta University Full/Part Time: Full Time Regular/Temporary: * Job Summary The Georgia Cancer Center at Augusta University is recruiting for an Assistant Research Scientist. The purpose of this position is to have a scientist with medical knowledge and research experience to conduct studies on human samples and mouse models for cancer signaling and drug development in precision medicine research. Responsibilities include lab management, purchasing, safety protocols, independent research, manuscript and grant preparation, and collaborative work with other scientists and students. This is a non-tenure track position. Responsibilities Conduct scientific research independently - 60% Planning, executing experiments, and analyzing data. Mentor students and assist with their research - 5% Support students in their research projects. Prepare manuscripts and grant applications - 30% Data and figure preparation, submission processes. Manage purchases and safety protocols - 5% Handle procurement and ensure safety training compliance. Required Qualifications PhD or equivalent from an accredited institution. Shift/Salary/Benefits This is a full-year, full-time position with salary based on experience and qualifications.
