Hours: 11:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. Eastern Time

Location: current schedule is hybrid (40-50% in the Amelia, Ohio office) but open to consider remote

Purpose:

Manage, evaluate, and implement underwriting decisions in support of top-line growth and bottom-line profitability objectives.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Make individual policy underwriting decisions based on risk characteristics supported by data and analytics.
• Provide direction and guidance to internal and external partners, both written and verbal to include phone support.
• Uses analysis and judgement to solve difficult problems and make decisions.
• Negotiate and form effective working relationships across departmental or other boundaries while maintaining diplomacy.
• Participate in process improvement solutions.
• Support Customer Experience across all facets of underwriting processes.
• Manage agent relationships - Including in-person and virtual agent interactions.

Required Technical Skills:

• Advanced experience with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Critical thinking, analytics and time management skills.
• Excellent problem solving and interpersonal skills.

Education, Certifications & Designations:

Required:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent

Preferred:

• P&C insurance designations
• CPCU or other industry coursework/designations, preferred
