Compensation: Base salary up to ~$130,000 (commensurate with experience) + travel package
Position Overview
A well-established, nationally active
commercial general contractor is seeking an experienced
Traveling Superintendent to lead large-scale ground-up construction projects. This role is ideal for a Superintendent who thrives on complex, fast-paced industrial builds and is comfortable managing multi-acre sites across multiple regions.
Project Profile
- Ground-up projects $20M+ (larger preferred)
- Warehouse / Distribution Centers
- Cold Storage Facilities
- Manufacturing & Food Manufacturing Plants
- Extensive use of tilt-wall and precast construction
- Large, multi-acre sites with aggressive schedules
Travel Requirements
- Full-time travel role
- Projects primarily in Central and Eastern Time Zones
- Home every 4 weeks (travel expenses covered)
Key Responsibilities
- Lead field operations from mobilization through closeout
- Manage site safety, schedule, quality control, and subcontractors
- Coordinate with Project Managers, owners, and inspectors
- Oversee tilt-wall and precast installation
- Drive schedule adherence on large, complex sites
- Maintain high standards for workmanship and compliance
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Superintendent on $20M+ ground-up commercial/industrial projects
- Strong background in warehouse, cold storage, or manufacturing construction
- Hands-on experience with tilt-wall and precast systems
- Ability to manage large crews and multiple subcontractors
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Compensation & Benefits
