POSITION SUMMARY:

Our Telephone Triage Nurses evaluate the information provided by patients and help to determine the best way to treat the issue presented. This frontline position provides immediate information to our patients to ensure they can make the right healthcare choice for their specific needs. This position is on-site; no remote or hybrid schedule.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide education, instruction, and other information to the patients via telephone.
• Assures quality of care by adhering to evidence-based care guidelines.
• Assist with the completion of patient forms and ensure proper documentation is provided through EPIC.
• Assigning calls to designated teams.
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are required.
• 1 year of experience in a hospital or medical office setting is preferred.
• Must have an active LPN license.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• A majority of time on the job will be spent sitting with occasional walking, sitting, and/or stooping.
• At times this position may require weight to be lifted up to 15 pounds.
• The following types of vision are required: close, distance, peripheral, and depth perception.
