With over 50 years' experience as an industry leader specializing in comprehensive valued added and supply chain processes, the Hearn Industrial Team is proud to be growing in our Canton facility. We specialize in transportation, warehousing, quality containment & inspection services, and assembly sequencing operations to support the automotive and other industries. We are currently accepting resumes for the following role:
Primary Responsibilities
provides support for operating systems, business applications, security tools, servers, wireless network and local and wide area networks
installs, configures and maintains network hardware, software, and peripheral devices, as directed
upgrades, maintains, monitors and supports third party applications as directed; escalates issues, as appropriate
monitors and reports on network usage, availability and efficiency
develops and implements processes and procedures to improve efficiencies and IT service levels
troubleshoots technical issues
researches and recommends technical features, enhancements or changes to support betterment of operations
maintains and keeps up-to-date technology inventory database
provides assistance with the administration of telephone and voicemail systems
responds to staff requests for support of computer hardware, software, technology equipment and resources
creates and leads training sessions and creates documents to assist staff and public in the use of technology and equipment
provides guidance, direction and training to staff, referring performance issues and training needs to the appropriate Manager
actively maintains skills and knowledge of emerging technology trends by participating in conferences, training, communication and engagement with other professionals in the library and/or IT community
provides excellent customer service to internal and external customers
promotes a positive impression of the Hearn's Industrial Services in all interactions
actively participates in meetings, workshops and training sessions
Qualifications & Skills
completion of a post-secondary degree or diploma in Computer Science or Information Technology
demonstrated experience related to network and server administration in Windows environment
experience working with small IT teams with an ability to identify and implement innovative solutions
demonstrated proficiency working with business productivity software (Office 365)
demonstrated customer service skills, effectively able to communicate technical issues and respond to non-technical customers
solid literacy skills (vocabulary, spelling and comprehension).All employees will be required to complete their Health & Safety and other training (including Health & Safety policies) may be required upon the start of employment.
_ Please note position is stationed in Canton but will require you to travel locally to additional Hearn Industrial Services facilities located in Romulus and Taylor _
Job Type: Full-time - STEADY AFTERNOONS STARTING AT 6:00PM - 9 HOUR SHIFT WITH AN HOUR LUNCH
Pay: From $55,000 to $60,000 dollars per year
