This Surgery Scheduler-Authorization Experience Required Position Features:

2 years of Surgery Scheduling and Insurance Authorization experience REQUIRED.

Immediate need for an experienced Surgery Scheduler at this world-renowned medical organization. This position will support their department with the following duties:

-Schedule procedures as well as pre and post-op appointments
-Ensure that prior authorizations are on file
-Collect medical records from referring physicians
-Coordinate necessary lab work, EKGs, testing and imaging prior to surgery
-Update patient charts in Epic
-Collect necessary signatures
-Call to discuss surgery day instructions with patients
-Other administrative duties as needed

Requirements:
-2 years of recent scheduling experience in a medical setting
-2 years of recent insurance authorization experience
-Experience with an EMR, (Epic preferred)
