Annual Hours:1625, 100% Grant Funded Position Ends September 30, 2026Classification/Points:H, 1000Bargaining Unit/Division:ESP IIPosition Description:The Student Success Facilitator will assist with the recruitment and retention of students, collaborate with faculty to assist students, direct students to appropriate college and community resources, maintain confidentiality, assist with coordinating and serving student group/activities. This position provides guidance and support to students in order to enhance their learning skills, improve academic performance, and achieve educational goals.Position Responsibilities:Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Work with students to prepare for job fairs, employment preparation and interview skills. Conduct classroom and program orientation presentations on services of student success facilitator. Collaborate with programs to facilitate mindfulness, stress reduction and mental health activities for students. Assist programs with student recruitment and retention activities. Collaborate with programs to support at risk students and develop plans with students for success. Assist nursing students with the admission process, TEAS testing and completion of applications. Evaluate students' academic strengths/weakness and develop individualized academic plans which meet the students' goals for improving performance. Provide guidance on study skills, time management, test preparation and note taking strategies. Motivate and encourage students to maintain high academic standard. Assist with organization of workshops and training sessions to promote effective learning strategies. Keep abreast of the latest educational trends and resources. Presence on the job is an employee's fundamental obligation. Regular, reliable, and punctual attendance is required. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor. Position Requirements Position Qualifications: Minimum of a Bachelor's degree required. Three years minimum experience working in higher education supporting students in academic required. Positive interpersonal communication skills required. Computer and organizational skills required, including knowledge of Microsoft Office, and other remote learning experience preferred. Ability to work independently required. Experience working with high school students and/or college students preferred. Experience working with first generation college students preferred.
