Job Description

CBTS has partnered with a client in the Columbus, OH area to identify a Test Automation Engineer on an 8 month contract to hire

  • Candidates must be willing to work a hybrid schedule Tues and Wed onsite. Starting in Sept, the hybrid in office will be Tues/Wed/Thurs
  • Visa must be a US Citizen for this role

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience expert in Tricentis Tosca for managing and use in Test Automation
  • 3+ years of experience delivering test automation as a shared service and aligning with enterprise strategies or department roadmaps
  • 3+ years of experience in managing test data with Test Data Services (TDS)
  • 3+ years of experience in Architecture Infrastructure Set Up for Test Automation
  • 4+ years of experience expert in Test Management Standards and tools

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Mobile Application testing
  • Experience in Tricentis qTest
  • Experience in API testing
  • Experience with Power BI configuration
  • Competent in Other Test Automation Tools
  • Understand industry test automation trends and continuously seek to improve the maturity of

Test Automation Disciplines

  • Experience in setting up CI/CD pipelines
  • Proven competency in Project Management

Responsibilities:

Job Summary

The Test Automation Engineer will play a pivotal role within the Value Stream Team, ensuring the reliability and functionality of target applications, including Salesforce and SAP. By leveraging expertise in automation testing methodologies and tools, the engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance test frameworks, drive best practices, and continuously improve testing strategies. In addition to technical responsibilities, the role may include Test Lead duties, showcasing leadership and coordination skills to ensure testing excellence.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Act as the technical subject matter expert (SME) in Tosca Automation and related testing methodologies.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts for Value Stream Team (VST) using tools such as Tricentis Tosca.
  • Lead the development and enhancement of automation test frameworks and roadmaps for the Value Stream Team.
  • Establish and enforce policies and practices for excellence in automation strategies, including unit, integration, system, user acceptance (UAT), exploratory, and non-functional testing.
  • Maintain and optimize reusable test scripts.
  • Track and manage quality assurance metrics to meet or exceed team benchmarks.

Essential Functions

  • Collaborate with business analysts, product owners, and developers to analyze testing requirements, define automation scenarios, and align with stakeholder needs.
  • Organize technical capabilities, processes, and personnel for both manual and automated testing efforts.
  • Promote automation best practices and maintain regression test suites across platforms, including legacy systems, web applications, and mobile platforms (iOS and Android).
  • Oversee testing schedules, ensuring the timely delivery of milestones and overall adherence to project timelines.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational and industry standards for software testing.
  • Conduct risk assessments and recommend improvements to enhance application quality.
  • Communicate test results and insights effectively to stakeholders at all levels.

Collaboration and Coordination

  • Coordinate with IT delivery teams, business partners, and service providers to execute test automation strategies aligned with client delivery frameworks (Agile, Waterfall, and Iterative).
  • Partner with DevOps teams to integrate test automation within CI/CD pipelines and optimize workflows.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for Value Stream Application Support Teams, addressing incidents and providing configuration and operational support.
  • Effectively communicate test results and actionable insights to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ensure alignment with client PMO methodology and quality assurance (QA) standards.
  • Stay abreast of market trends, tools, and best practices in the field of test automation.
