Job Description

A school district in Loves Park, IL is seeking a full-time Special Education Teacher for a high school setting. This contract position runs through the current school year. The role involves supporting students with special needs in a self-contained classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver instruction in alignment with state and district standards
• Co-instruct math lessons alongside general education teachers
• Write and maintain Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs
• Manage cases to ensure compliance and effective service delivery
• Collaborate with staff, families, and support services to promote student success

Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification
• Experience working with high school students with diverse learning needs
• Strong skills in math instruction and IEP development
