Job Description

Soliant isseeking a dedicated and compassionate Centerbased ASD Teacher to lead a Setting III classroom designed to support students with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD). This role requires a special education licensed teacher who is passionate about making meaningful connections with students and delivering individualized instruction that supports both academic and behavioral growth. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader, an effective communicator, and a collaborative team member.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement developmentally appropriate academic and behavioral lessons tailored to the abilities of students in a Setting III environment.

  • Lead and support a team of paraprofessionals to ensure consistent, high-quality student support throughout the school day.

  • Maintain open, ongoing communication with families to share student progress, successes, and challenges.

  • Collaborate with school administrators, special education coordinators, and staff to align programming and interventions with student needs.

  • Maintain accurate and compliant student records, adhering to all due process requirements and timelines.

  • Serve as the case manager for students in your classroom, including leading IEP and evaluation summary meetings.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned by school leadership.

Desired Experience & Skills:

  • Experience working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorders in a special education setting.

  • Knowledge of and ability to write effective Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs).

  • Familiarity with current behavior support strategies, including positive behavior interventions and supports (PBIS).

  • Experience with standardized assessment tools for special education evaluations.

  • Strong collaborative skills to work effectively with paraprofessionals, colleagues, and families.

  • Excellent communication skills, especially with families and interdisciplinary teams.

Required Qualifications:

  • Valid Minnesota Special Education Teaching License in one of the following areas:

  • Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) preferred

  • Academic and Behavioral Strategist (ABS) acceptable

  • Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds and assist in two- to three-person lifts as needed.

  • Specific school site in Minnesota to be confirmed prior to the start date
