Your New Role... The Senior Money Editor will be responsible for content creation and strategy for money and personal finance recommendation and review content on CNN Underscored. The Senior Money editor is tasked with creating new content and updating existing content that will help our readers find the best financial products and services for their daily lives. Coverage includes guides and reviews on credit cards, banking, insurance, mortgages and other products in the personal finance space.
The ideal candidate is an expert with credit card, airline and hotel rewards programs with broad interest in points and miles, travel and all things personal finance. They should have a sharp eye for trends in the personal finance space and experience covering these topics as a beat for a major publisher.
Your Role Accountabilities... - Build, manage and execute the Money calendar for CNN Underscored
- Deliver engaging, high-quality and informative copy on deadline
- Brainstorm story and series ideas on a weekly basis
- Partner with our SEO team to ensure stories comply with SEO guidance and help drive our audience and business goals
- Experiment regularly to find new approaches that resonate with and grow our audience
Qualifications & Experience... - 5-7 years writing/editing experience with an emphasis on personal finance and/or points and miles content.
- Experience writing long-form financial product reviews and guides
- Excellent project management and communication skills.
- Experience working with Parse.ly, Chartbeat or similar analytic tools
- Excellent news judgment and writing skills
- Experience working in a CMS
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proven ability to multitask and manage large projects

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery's total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $93,800.00 - $174,200.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and sick time and vacation.
