Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license and minimum 1+ years Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A licensed practical nurse (LPN) is needed for a contract position in a school setting in Philadelphia, PA. This role is vital in supporting the health and well-being of students by providing essential nursing care under the guidance of registered nurses and school health staff. The LPN will ensure a safe and healthy environment for students and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Monitor and document student health status and progress
• Provide first aid and emergency care as needed
• Assist in developing and implementing individualized health care plans
• Communicate effectively with school staff, students, and parents regarding health concerns
• Maintain accurate and confidential health records
• Support health education initiatives and promote wellness within the school community

Qualifications:

• Valid LPN license in the state of Pennsylvania
• Experience working in a school or pediatric setting preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred
