Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Scenic Carpenter to join our team in Atlanta, GA. As a Lead Scenic Carpenter, you will play a crucial role in executing our projects with precision, creativity, and attention to detail. You will be responsible for leading a team of carpenters and craftsmen to ensure the successful fabrication and installation of various elements for events, exhibits, and environments. Additionally, your expertise in highly detailed custom paint artwork, including murals and automotive paint techniques, will be essential in delivering visually stunning pieces.
This position also requires some travel.

Position Requirements Key Responsibilities: - Lead and supervise a team of carpenters and craftsmen in the fabrication and installation of scenic elements, exhibits, and custom structures.
- Interpret and implement design drawings, blueprints, and specifications to meet project requirements.
- Coordinate with project managers, designers, and clients to ensure clear communication and understanding of project goals.
- Utilize a variety of carpentry tools and techniques to construct high-quality, durable, and visually stunning pieces.
- Create highly detailed and custom artwork, including murals and other large-scale projects.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all relevant safety regulations and protocols.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or challenges that arise during fabrication and installation processes.
- Uphold our company's standards of craftsmanship, professionalism, and client satisfaction.
Requirements: - Proven experience as a scenic carpenter, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Technical Theatre and/or Cabinetry build
- Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role, demonstrating the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team.
- Proficiency in interpreting and executing design drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
- Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, materials, and tools.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members, clients, and stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
- Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to evolving project requirements.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Certification or formal training in carpentry or a related field.
- Experience working in the events, exhibits, or entertainment industry.
- Knowledge of sculpting and molding techniques.
Physical Demands: - While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
- The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Education/Experience: - High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Three to five years of carpentry experience in custom scenic and/or exhibit building, with at least one of those years in a leadership role.
