JOB SUMMARY:
This responsibility of this position is to provide administrative support for the SMS North American Dealer
Sales Channel. This person assists in the development and distribution of sales reporting and tracking tools
in support of sales efforts. This position works closely with the Vice President, National Sales and
Marketing, Product Sales Specialists, SMS Operations, and Marketing Departments in the execution of the
daily sales duties.
This person is responsible for the assembly and review of equipment orders received from the sales channel
prior to being processed to SMS Operations.
This position is responsible for the maintenance of routine sales and measurement tools (web site, sales
reporting, etc.).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES RESPOSNIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned by
the National Sales Manager.
1. Must provide administrative support of the SMS sales channel and the Manager’s of that channel.
2. Must provide administrative support of the SMS Product Sales Specialists.
3. Develop a strong relationship with the North American Dealer Sales Organization.
4. Develop and distribute various sales reports to the sales channel.
5. Maintain excellent computer skills (Microsoft WORD, Outlook, EXCEL, Power Point) and the
ability to navigate the internet. Familiarity with CRM tool Salesforce.com a PLUS.
6. Experience in a sales oriented organization (understanding of typical sales processes)
7. Routinely demonstrate good telephone skills (ability to communicate clearly and promptly on the
telephone)
8. Good organizational skills (has kept files, etc. in a typical office)
9. Good reasoning skills (math skills, etc.) as well as a “proactive” approach to the position (able to
anticipate issues)
10. Professional approach to the position (communicate well and present a positive representation of
the company)
11. Dependable in the performance of this position.
12. Self starting / motivated
QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential
duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge,
skill, and/or ability required.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience
and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to
write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small
group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers,
common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and
interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral,
or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in
standardized situations.
