About Us

Global Impact Group LLC is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) and ISO 9001 / ISO 17100 certified provider of interpretation and translation services. We deliver language access solutions across 80+ languages to federal, state, and local agencies.

We are expanding our ASL Interpreter team to support the USCIS contract and are seeking certified professionals to provide both remote (VRI) and onsite interpretation services.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate ASL interpretation for USCIS interviews, hearings, and meetings (in-person and via VRI).
• Interpret effectively in sensitive environments, maintaining confidentiality and neutrality.
• Adapt communication styles to diverse individuals, including applicants with varying levels of English proficiency.
• Adhere to Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) code of professional conduct.
• Maintain compliance with USCIS protocols, security, and ethical standards.
• Participate in training, quality audits, and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) and English.
• RID, NIC, CDI, or equivalent certification (preferred).
• 2+ years of interpreting experience in legal, medical, immigration, or government settings.
• Ability to work both onsite and via secure VRI platforms.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Must be able to pass a Tier 3 or Tier 5 federal background investigation.
• U.S. Citizenship or permanent residency required.
