Job Description
Working under the supervision of the Forensic Program Coordinator, the part-time Forensic Nurse will assess, plan, and implement the individual patient care of any patient that presents with a complaint of sexual assault/abuse, interpersonal violence, or elder or child abuse/neglect/maltreatment according to the Augusta Health Forensic Nursing/Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner Policy.The Forensic Nurse will strive to support the philosophy and core values of the hospital and function as a representative of Augusta Health when in contact with the community.
This is a part-time position that requires additional hours of call per month. Every third weekend of scheduled work is required along with one Summer and one Winter holiday per year.

Requirements - A Registered Nurse with at least two years of experience in patient care. Ideally the candidate has completed a SANE classroom course and all appropriate clinical and has received a completion certificate from a certified instructor. If not, training will be provided. A nurse who has an interest in promoting forensic nursing.
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred but not required.CPR certification required.
- Demonstrates ability to interact with multidisciplinary teams, communicate needs, and work with peers to establish smooth functioning.
