Job Summary:

As a Registered Nurse in our cardiovascular intermediate care unit, you will offer essential nursing services to patients requiring diverse assessments and interventions, all while adhering to the healthcare organization's established policies and protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

• Gather comprehensive data from patients, families, and healthcare providers to develop a well-rounded understanding of patient needs.
• Synthesize assessment data to determine relevant diagnoses or conditions.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and the healthcare team to identify optimal care outcomes.
• Design and implement patient care plans, employing clinical judgment and working alongside the interprofessional team.
• Monitor and evaluate progress towards goals and outcomes.
• Maintain high standards of nursing practice and continually develop your skills and knowledge.
• Effectively communicate and collaborate across all levels of practice.
• Utilize evidence-based practices to deliver excellent nursing care tailored to patient needs.
• Maintain a safe working environment and demonstrate alertness at all times.
• Complete additional assigned tasks as needed.

Requirements:

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program or equivalent educational qualifications.
• No prior experience is required for this position.

Physical Requirements:

• Constantly communicate verbally with patients and team members.
• Stand and walk frequently; lift and carry objects weighing 0-25 lbs.
• Engage in data entry and visual tasks regularly.
• Use your sense of smell and hearing to monitor patient conditions and alarms.
• Occasionally lift and carry weights of up to 50 lbs and assist with the mobility of patients.

Licensure and Certifications:

• State-required Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification is required, or other specific certifications mentioned in the job description based on state regulations.
