Job Title: Concierge Primary Care Nurse

Location: Wellesley, MA

Job Type: Full-time, On-site (M-F 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM; includes 30 min paid lunch)

Salary: $50.00 - $55.00 per hour (commensurate with experience)

Position Summary:

In this unique position, you will engage in all aspects of patient care including before, during, and after-visit clinical work; phone triage; providing support to our physicians and advanced practitioners; administering vaccines; performing phlebotomy; advising on medication instructions; and assisting with clinical and administrative nursing tasks. Critical to this role is strong communication and strong collaboration with patients, providers, and other members of our team. At least 5 years of experience and exceptional skill in outpatient primary care is required.

Key Responsibilities:

Patient Care:

  • Administer medications, vaccines, injections and treatments as directed by physicians
  • Perform phlebotomy and prepare specimens for lab collection
  • Perform ear lavage, hearing tests, and InBody analyses, and other clinical tasks
  • Provide patient education including home injection instructions
  • Greet and escort patients to examination rooms
  • Obtain and document patients’ medical history, vital signs, and EKGs when needed.
  • Assist healthcare providers during examinations and minor medical procedures.

Triage Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate acuity and prioritize clinical messages and inquiries from patients via various communication platforms (phone, email, chart, secure text messenger).
  • Address clinical questions within your scope and respond in a timely manner, ensuring compassionate care.
  • Collaborate with the clinical team to provide optimal patient care.
  • Queue orders for provider review, including referrals, lab orders, and prescriptions.

Clinical and Administrative Support:

  • Prepare and maintain examination rooms with necessary supplies and equipment.
  • Complete nursing administrative tasks such as preparing patient letters, prior authorizations, forms
  • Assist with coordination of care with external providers.
  • Perform all tasks with attention to detail, to patient privacy, and to HIPAA compliance

Education and Patient Training:

  • Provide patients with information on medications, treatment plans, and preventive care.
  • Assist with medication education and training for patients on injectable medications and medical devices (e.g., GLP1 injections, B12 injections, CGMs).

Compliance and Quality Assurance:

  • Adhere to healthcare regulations and maintain compliance with privacy laws.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ensure adherence to practice protocols.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Nursing school degree; must be a Registered Nurse in Massachusetts. Experience: Minimum of 5 years nursing experience in a primary care environment
  • Proficiency in EPIC is required.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent customer service and outstanding communication skills (written, verbal, electronic, in-person).
  • Ability to handle sensitive information discreetly and professionally.
  • Proven ability to multitask effectively and work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and relationship management skills, with the ability to adapt in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, EPIC, and web-based communication platforms.
