Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to lead the implementation of a Microsoft 365 Power Platform solution. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the entire project lifecycle, ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutions in alignment with organizational goals and IRS policies. The Project Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and stakeholders, to ensure the solution meets established requirements, service-level objectives, and all technical specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning and Execution:
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation, to ensure the timely delivery of the solution.
- Coordinate all project activities, ensuring that milestones and objectives are met.
- Manage the project scope, budget, and resources to ensure successful completion within agreed-upon parameters.
- Technology Support and Integration:
- Oversee the implementation of Microsoft 365 GCC Power Platform technologies, including Power Apps, Dataverse, Canvas or Model Driven apps, Data Gateway, Power Automate, and Power BI.
- Ensure integration between the cloud-based solution and on-premises SQL Server databases, including automated data synchronization.
- Data Validation and Quality Assurance:
- Ensure that robust data validation mechanisms are implemented to guarantee high-quality data input and output.
- Collaborate with developers and data teams to validate data accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
- Reporting, Dashboards, and Visualizations:
- Lead the development of dynamic reports, visualizations, and dashboards utilizing near real-time data or data refreshed on a defined cadence.
- Ensure that the solution supports informed decision-making and business insights through effective data visualization.
- Issue Resolution:
- Manage and track the resolution of any product issues, bugs, or defects identified during development, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and production.
- Work closely with QA teams to ensure that all issues are addressed promptly and effectively.
- Compliance and Documentation:
- Ensure that the solution adheres to established requirements, specifications, and all applicable IRS policies.
- Maintain detailed project documentation, including compliance records, technical specifications, and progress reports.
- Stakeholder Management:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate and facilitate regular status meetings with stakeholders to provide updates on progress and any risks or issues.
- Service Level Objectives (SLOs):
- Ensure that the solution meets the defined Service Level Objectives (SLOs) in collaboration with the contractor and government stakeholders.
- Track performance and service levels post-deployment to ensure ongoing compliance.
Key Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
Experience:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in project management, with a proven track record of delivering large-scale technology solutions using GCC Microsoft 365 Power Platform.
- Experience working with Power Apps, Dataverse, Power Automate, Power BI, and Data Gateway.
- Prior experience in managing complex data integrations, particularly with on-premises SQL Server databases.
- Familiarity with agile project management methodologies and best practices.
- Experience working with government or regulatory compliance requirements, specifically IRS policies, is highly desirable.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of data validation techniques and data quality assurance processes.
- Ability to manage cross-functional teams and coordinate complex project timelines.
- Proficient in using project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, JIRA, Trello) and software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Certifications:
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification preferred.
- Microsoft certifications related to the Power Platform (e.g., Power BI, Power Apps) are a plus.
