  • Review and prepare technical documentation including electrical equipment specifications (MCCs, switchgear, substations), one-line diagrams, cable/conduit schedules, and ground grid designs.
  • Conduct complex engineering studies, including short circuit, relay coordination, arc flash, grounding, motor acceleration, voltage drop, load flow, and stability analysis using software such as SKM and ETAP.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards, including NFPA 70 (NEC) and NFPA 70E.
  • Collaborate with vendors and multi-disciplinary engineering teams on technical matters.
  • Support the preparation of procurement documents and evaluation of vendor equipment.
  • Attend industry conferences and events; maintain professional licensure and expand licensure to other states as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the State of Texas.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
  • 10 to 20 years of progressive experience in electrical engineering studies and design.
  • Strong background in power distribution (low and medium voltage) and protective relaying, with familiarity in the design of substations and electrical systems for the oil and gas sector.
  • Proficiency in power system modeling and analysis tools such as SKM and ETAP.
  • Working knowledge of equipment selection and sizing, electrical design documentation, and industry-standard testing procedures.
  • Familiarity with SEL and Multilin relay systems is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Ability to travel to client sites and attend industry events as needed.

The client will interview this week, so if you are interested and fit the above, do please apply now for immediate consideration.
