Job Description

Job Overview The Governor's Office of Student Achievement (GOSA) is seeking a Policy and Research Analyst to contribute to the development of education policy in Georgia. Job Duties The Key Responsibilities of this role include: Research and Analysis (85% of role): Conduct quantitative analysis on education policy issues, apply advanced statistical knowledge, and analyze large datasets using statistical software (STATA preferred). Policy Support and Communication (15% of role): Develop policy briefs, memos, reports, and presentations, and create data visualizations to communicate research findings. Job Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree in economics, statistics, public policy, education, or related fields with a quantitative focus. Master's degree preferred. Experience: Two to four years of experience in quantitative research and data analysis, with experience in statistical analysis and quantitative research methods. Technical Skills: Proficiency in statistical software (STATA preferred), strength in working with big datasets, and demonstrated technical accuracy and data management skills. Core Competencies: Strong quantitative and analytical skills, detail-oriented, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
