Job Description

We are seeking an experienced PLC Engineer with 5 years of hands-on experience in industrial automation to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Allen-Bradley Logix, Vision Systems, and HMI/SCADA systems. This role involves designing, programming, and troubleshooting automation systems to support manufacturing processes, ensuring smooth operations, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, program, and troubleshoot PLC systems using Allen-Bradley Logix platforms.
  • Develop and integrate HMI/SCADA systems to monitor and control automated equipment.
  • Work with Vision Systems for quality control, detection, and inspection applications.
  • Support the commissioning, maintenance, and optimization of control systems.
  • Perform testing, troubleshooting, and diagnostics on automation hardware and software.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, and maintenance teams to implement automation solutions.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including PLC programs, logic diagrams, and system manuals.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations in all automation processes.
  • Provide technical support for equipment during system installations, upgrades, and modifications.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system efficiency and reliability.

Requirements:

  • 5 years of experience in PLC programming, industrial automation, and control systems.
  • Strong knowledge of Allen-Bradley Logix platforms.
  • Experience with Vision Systems for automation and quality applications.
  • Proficiency in developing and integrating HMI/SCADA systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and control diagrams.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills with a focus on root cause analysis.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related field (preferred).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with networking protocols and industrial communication (EtherNet/IP, Modbus).
  • Experience with control panel design and AutoCAD for electrical drawings.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and safety standards.
