About the role

We are seeking an experienced, communicative, and compassionate Physician Assistant (PA-C) to join our Irvine Clinic. You must have a minimum of 2 years of experience practicing as a licensed PA i n a psychiatric or behavioral health setting.

What you'll do

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct patient visits per accepted practice standards
  • Obtain patient histories and perform psychiatric evaluations
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in accordance with clinical practice guidelines and protocols
  • Build and manage a panel of patients for whom you are the primary psychopharmacologist
  • Monitor the effectiveness of therapeutic intervention, assess, and manage patient follow up care
  • Maintain the confidentiality of PHI
  • Assumes responsibility and accountability for time management, professional relationships, and interpersonal interactions within the job setting
  • Maintains continuing educational requirements necessary for licensure and certifications
  • Provides appropriate and timely documentation of clinical care ensuring that records are detailed, complete, and comply with related standards and regulations
  • This is a full-time in clinic role, Monday through Friday- no weekends.
Qualifications
  • Current Physician Assistant (PA) License in the State of California - minimum of 2 years of experience*
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with medication management
  • TMS and Ketamine experience
  • Strong IV skills
  • Possesses a State Controlled Substance License II through V
  • Possesses a Federal DEA Certificate II through V
  • BLS Certification for Healthcare Providers
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate with members of an interdisciplinary care team
  • Effective problem-solving and prioritization skills
  • Previous experience in a clinical setting
  • Must be able to pass an extensive background check including all educational requirements and licensing
