Overview
The Photographer Assistant is responsible for supporting the photographer in the studio and on-location for all photo shoots and photo editing while also managing files and part orders. The position makes certain that shoots are organized by ensuring the parts are ready for the photographer to shoot and assisting with post production.

Essential Functions

• Orders product from the warehouse based on priority needs
• Styles and preps products prior to shoots
• Handles products while in studio’s possession ensuring the photography process runs smooth
• Renames images to digital asset management standard conventions
• Retouches and resizes images to web/print standards
• Organizes images in proper folder structure for transfer to post production
• Tracks shoots, parts shot, and brand budgets
• Works directly with Media Coordinator to prioritize vendor and studio product images
• Maintains strict confidentiality
• Performs other tasks and/or duties as assigned

Non-Essential Functions

• Tracks and orders studio inventory supplies

Required Qualifications and Education

· Associate’s Degree in Photography or 2-3 years of relevant work experience

• Ability to work collaboratively
• Excellent verbal and active listening skills
• Exceptional organization skills
• Basic knowledge of Excel
• CMS (Content Management Systems) experience preferred
• Adobe Photoshop and Bridge experience required
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
• Valid Drivers’ License
• Good Driving Record

• Must be able to lift and move studio equipment and heavier products, up to 50 lbs
• Must be able to communicate verbally and written
• Must be able to read from a screen

• Must be able to travel by air 8+ hours
