We are a fast pace oral surgical practice looking for an experienced clerical employee for its Lynn Melrose and Peabody and surrounding locations. An ideal candidate should have experience and knowledge of dental/oral surgery/medical insurance. We are looking for a team player that can adapt and flourish within a fast paced schedule and stressful and demanding situations. Experience working at the front desk and scheduling appointments is considered a plus. Initial employment will be in our Lynn location but the position would require scheduling flexibility between other offices. The candidate must be fluent in Spanish.

Duties & Requirements

Answer phone calls related to scheduling appointments and general questions related to oral surgery.

Checking in patients at the front desk including collecting fees and coordinating appropriate patient documentation.

Communicating with referring dentists to assure patient charts are complete prior and post appointment.

Understand and check patient insurance coverage to estimate collections and payments.

Filing patient charts.

Relay messages from referring dentists to our surgeons.

Comply with office policies, procedures, safety, OSHA, HIPPA, and MA Dental Board guidelines.

Ability to effectively function in a fast paced and stressful environment.

Scheduling flexibility to account for occasional early/late appointment scheduling as well as some weekend openings.

Qualifications

Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills

Ability to multi-task and adapt to a stressful environment.

Solid computer skills and knowledge. Ability to type quickly also beneficial.

Knowledge of medical insurance coverage plans.

Dental and Medical knowledge a plus.

Spanish speaking proficiency required (Lynn - positive for Peabody)
