Job Description

The office manager should be friendly, professional, courteous and able to handle many tasks at once with numerous interruptions while appearing calm and under control. The office manager is primarily responsible for the oversight of the daily tasks of the front desk while representing our mission and vision statement at Covington Veterinary Hospital. Our experienced surgeons perform a range of surgeries including orthopedic, soft tissue, and dental surgeries. We use state-of-the-art equipment and techniques to ensure the best possible outcome for your pets.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• All of the duties as outlined in the Front desk job description.
• Manage reminders
• Maintains accuracy of financial reports including end of day, month, and year reports as needed.
• Financial accountability for daily balancing of cash drawer.
• Billing of accounts receivable, dealing with past due clients, utilizing collection service as needed.
• Billing of Scratch Pay accounts
• Carry out training of front desk personnel.
• Handle emotionally charged situations.
• Performs other projects given by Hospital Manager or Practice Owner.
• Monitor email, ensure transferred records are attached to patient charts.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years client service experience, previous veterinary practice experience preferred, but not required.
• Significant experience with basic office functions in a busy office environment.
• Complete 2 hours of continuing education per quarter.
