Job Description:
Soliant is looking for a skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team in Preston, WA. This school-based position involves working with students to enhance their ability to perform daily living and academic tasks. You will play a crucial role in promoting independence and improving overall quality of life for students with various needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations to assess students functional abilities and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide direct occupational therapy services in one-on-one and group settings, focusing on fine motor skills, sensory integration, self-care, and classroom participation.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to integrate therapy goals into the educational environment and support students needs.
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting therapy techniques as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute valuable insights to multidisciplinary teams.
- Educate families and caregivers about strategies to support their childs development at home.
- Stay informed about best practices and advancements in the field of occupational therapy.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Valid Washington state licensure or eligibility for licensure.
- Experience in a school setting is preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
- Ability to develop and implement engaging and effective therapy activities.
