SNI Companies is assisting an Orthopedic office in West Houston to help find a Medical Scheduling Coordinator in a fast paced office environment.
Duties include:
- Communicates with all appropriate parties regarding patient
- Intakes referrals and creates charts in EMR
- Follows-up and ensures all documentation is obtained
- Schedules and/or reschedules patient appointment
- Coordinates transportation for our procedure patients, if needed
- Inform and provide the patient with the necessary information and instructions
- Follows-up on all Canceled or No Show Patients
- Sends appointment statuses to Doctor offices and attorneys
- Answer telephone and deal with inquiries
- Update patients' information into the EMR database
- Ensures completeness and accuracy of patients' charts
- Works closely with other departments to facilitate patients care
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Has a good understanding of medical terminology, good communication skills and is detail-oriented
- Medical terminology experience preferred
- Bilingual Spanish/English
- Exceptional customer service and phone etiquette
