We are seeking an energetic, knowledgeable, and self-motivated Mechanical Plumbing Designer with minimum of 15 years of experience. The successful individual will have CAD and Revit experience in the design of plumbing systems for multi-family residential, commercial offices, healthcare, and educational facilities. In addition, the individual must be comfortable communicate and consulting to architectural, developer practices and design-built contractors. and have a desire to work on a multi-discipline engineering team and perform his/her duties as follow:  

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS POSITION 

• Work collaboratively with experienced engineers to perform design tasks. 
• Experienced with the latest release of Revit, AutoCAD, BIM 360, and other CAD and BIM tools common to the discipline. 
• Works from detailed sketches to produce computer-generated graphs, charts, overlays, and simple isometric drawings. 
• Able to design layouts, details, and overall system design for typical, discipline-specific systems with oversight and mentorship. 
• Able to work with numerous project teams to assist with project completion. 
• Growing knowledge of codes and design and construction practices.  
• Perform construction administration reviews, including but limited to review and reply to RFIs, submittal, shop-drawings, field observation & report.
• Performs other duties as may be assigned.  

Expected Salary Range: $95k - $150k Annually

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES 

• Able to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment. 
• Detail oriented, possess a high degree of accuracy. 
• Able to work independently as well as part of a team. 
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.  
• Positive contributor to overall office and department goals, culture, and morale.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE  

• Minimum of 15 years of experience designing plumbing systems for residential or commercial buildings. 
• B.A. or B.S. from an accredited college in related field (preferred). 
• Certified in Plumbing Design (CPD) or equivalent (preferred) 
• Familiarity with relevant codes: mechanical, energy, plumbing  
• Experience with AutoCAD and Revit
