Job Description

Material Handling and Forklift Specialist

Pay: $21.00 per hour
Hours: Shift: Day shift (10:00 AM - 8:30 PM), subject to change to 2nd or night shift depending on operational needs.

Summary
Join our team as a Forklift Operator, where you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe movement and positioning of hazardous and non-hazardous waste materials. As a key player in our operations, you will facilitate the flow of materials between our hubs, plants, and outbound destinations while strictly adhering to safety and environmental regulations. We seek detail-oriented and organized individuals committed to maintaining a clean and efficient work environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Safely operate a forklift to offload, palletize, reload, and move containers of waste materials.
  • Coordinate material loads across various hubs, plants, and outbound destinations.
  • Ensure compliance with all transportation, storage, and environmental regulations.
  • Assist in dispatching from hubs and maintaining outbound schedules.
  • Track manifest return timelines and maintain accurate shipping documentation.
  • Update and manage data within various systems including Hub Database and Outlook.
  • Contribute to facility safety and operational goals by performing other assigned tasks as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 0-3 years of experience in forklift operation or material handling preferred.
  • Forklift training or certification is required.
  • Proficiency in Windows-based applications is essential.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities are a must.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and safely navigate a loud industrial environment with proper PPE.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and vision (20/20 vision, depth perception critical).
  • Less than 10% travel may be required.
