Master Data Governance Management Lead
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, governance, and maintenance of SAP Master Data domains, including Material Master , Vendor Master , and Customer Master using SAP S/4HANA Business Partner framework.
- Define and implement data governance standards, policies, and procedures to ensure data consistency, compliance, and quality across application landscape.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Procurement, Sales, Finance, Supply Chain, etc.) to understand master data requirements and ensure alignment with business processes.
- Oversee the Business Partner (BP) conversion and synchronization process between customer/vendor legacy objects and the unified BP structure in SAP S/4HANA.
- Implement and optimize Master Data Governance where applicable, ensuring robust workflows for master data creation, approval, and maintenance .
- Conduct root cause analysis and resolution of data quality issues, providing leadership in ongoing data cleansing and enrichment efforts.
- Support SAP projects and rollouts from a master data perspective, ensuring successful cutover, migration, and post-go-live stabilization.
- Monitor data lifecycle management, including onboarding, deactivation, archiving, and governance audits.
- Provide expertise on data integration with external systems (e.g., Salesforce, eCommerce, PLM, EDI) and third-party sources.
- Train business users and data stewards on data governance best practices, standards, and tools.
- Stay updated on SAP S/4HANA releases and innovations impacting master data.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in data management, Management Information Systems, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field preferred. Equivalent combination of experience and education which clearly indicates the ability to perform the essential functions of the position may substitute on a year for year basis
- 8+ years of SAP experience with at least 3+ years on SAP S/4HANA , with a primary focus on Master Data Governance and Management, data quality or data architecture.
- Proven experience in Business Partner data model implementation and migration in S/4HANA.
- Deep knowledge of Material Master , Vendor Master , and Customer Master data objects and their usage across SAP modules.
- Strong understanding of MDG , data quality tools , and data lifecycle management .
- Experience in data migration tools and techniques (e.g., LSMW, LTMC).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across business and technical teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with SAP MDG (on S/4HANA or standalone) .
- Familiarity with Fiori apps for Master Data management.
- Knowledge of SOX or other compliance frameworks.
- SAP Certification(s) in relevant modules or master data management.
