Inpatient Pharmacist – Locum Tenens

📍 Location : Amergis – Wausu, WI
📅 Start Date : August 4, 2025
⏳ Duration : 13 weeks (with potential to extend)
💲 Pay Rate : $60-$70/hour
🕒 Schedule : 40 hours/week | 5x8 hour shifts | Day & Mid shifts | Every 3rd weekend required

💼 Setting : Inpatient / Acute Care

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide inpatient pharmacy services in a hospital setting
• Perform clinical dosing (renal, geriatric, pediatric, anticoagulants, etc.)
• Manage therapeutic medication monitoring and pharmacotherapy
• Prepare and compound IV medications using sterile techniques
• Utilize medication dispensing systems (Carousel, TPN mixers, etc.)
• Support a wide range of patient diagnoses including cardiac, stroke, ortho, L&D, and more

Shifts Include:

• Weekdays: 0600–1430, 0730–1600, 1200–2030, 1330–2200
• Weekends: 0600–1600 or 1200–2200 (option to leave early if volume permits)
• Optional on-call availability
• 120 hours of on-site orientation provided

Qualifications:

• Active or pending Wisconsin Pharmacist License (RPh)
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of inpatient pharmacy experience
• Proficiency with Cerner , Pharmacy Keeper , or BD Med Keeper

Additional Details:

• COVID-19 vaccination not required
