Job Description

LHH is collaborating with a prestigious law firm located in the Miami area to find their next Legal Assistant. This position offers candidates the unique opportunity to join a top-tier law firm and work closely with top attorneys on a variety of legal matters. The role is designed to provide comprehensive support to the legal team, ensuring smooth and efficient operations within the firm. After a 60 day period, the role will transition to a hybrid schedule.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain archive on File site (including docket, correspondence, and subfolders for pleadings and discovery)
  • Arrange meetings, conferences and depositions including setup: (coffee, breakfast, lunch etc.)
  • Arrange transport of exhibits and other materials for hearings and trial per the request of the attorney or paralegal
  • Process Invoices, check requests, and other attorney requests for reimbursement
  • Travel support and other logistical arrangements for attorneys
  • Assist attorneys with administrative tasks such as travel time entry, billing requests, proofread, sort and provide mails to attorneys
  • Contact and schedule court reporters and videographers
  • Maintain archive on File site (including docket, correspondence, and subfolders for pleadings and discovery)
  • File, organize, scan, copy and fax legal documents in a timely manner
  • Assist with printing requests

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of experience as a paralegal or legal secretary
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs
  • Able to effectively prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Able to work as a team with attorneys and other colleagues
  • Demonstrate a courteous and professional demeanor
  • Superior written and oral communication skills
