Base pay range $52,000.00/yr - $66,560.00/yr Position Overview We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Landscape Designer/Project Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing outdoor spaces that are not only aesthetically pleasing but also functional. You will collaborate with clients to understand their vision, conduct site analysis, and create detailed plans that incorporate various elements of landscape architecture. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in landscape design, construction estimating, and proficiency in design software. A minimum of 2 years of designer/project management experience is preferred. This is a full-time hybrid position in our Santa Maria office. Responsibilities Collaborate with clients to determine their landscaping needs and preferences. Conduct site analysis to evaluate site conditions and constraints affecting design. Assist with site visits, tree inventory, tree protection and soils sample tasks. Prepare preliminary, conceptual, and schematic design plans. Prepare construction documents and specifications for landscape projects. Estimate costs for materials and labor to ensure budget adherence. Lead multiple projects in various stages of development simultaneously. Communicate & coordinate with project team members, clients, consultants, contractors, and agency officials in a professional manner. Provide guidance on landscape maintenance practices to ensure project longevity. Assist and attend project and public meetings. Basic office procedures and organizational protocols. Produce & assist with project renderings/perspectives. Assist with RFQ, RFP, RFI’s, & submittals and produce the appropriate documents on a project-specific basis. Follow directions & work independently without supervision. Skills Knowledge and proficiency with AutoCAD. Knowledge and proficiency with Adobe Suite. Knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Office programs. Knowledge and proficiency in SketchUp. (Desired but not required) Knowledge and proficiency with Lumion. (Desired but not required) Excellent communication skills for client interactions and team collaboration. Strong attention to detail with a creative approach to problem-solving.
