Overview POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible, as the first-line operational supervisor, for training and leading team members in delivering an exceptional guest experience, including ensuring great tasting/quality food, executing on 20/20 guest expectations, and ensuring compliance with Jack in the Box procedures, systems and standards. Responsibilities Well-Trained: train and coach team members using Guest Expectations materials; model calm performance during busy times; ensure familiarity with job requirements. Neat and Well-Groomed: enforce uniform and grooming standards; present a professional appearance. Friendly: model and coach positive guest interactions; follow the Hospitality Model. Well-Staffed: maintain cleanliness, assist with ordering and cashiering during busy times; ensure readiness to serve guests; follow policies on hours, breaks, and timekeeping. Food Tastes Great: monitor and coach on food quality, presentation, and temperature. Consistent and Quick Service: demonstrate urgency; coach on fast service; assist with orders during peak times. Order Accuracy: ensure accurate orders following standards; address errors and retrain to reduce them. Food Safety: follow all food safety/quality policies; complete Food Safety Checklist each shift. Brand Ambassadors: inspire team members to embrace and represent Jack in the Box. Guest-Focused Service: treat guests and employees with care; proactively address guest needs and complaints; maintain a positive, engaging environment. Team Skills: lead as a cooperative team player; maintain calm under stress; work well with diverse groups; manage floor resources to cover all roles and ensure compliance. Commitment: thrive in a fast-paced environment; act professionally under high volume; train others on products and systems; manage cash handling; adhere to policies and standards. Front of Restaurant Includes duties for Guest Service (Dine In/Drive-Thru) and Interior/Exterior areas; perform other duties as assigned. Guest Service (Dine In/Drive-Thru): acknowledge guests, take and clarify orders, input into POS, handle payments, assemble and deliver orders, maintain cleanliness. Interior: cleaning and stocking, restroom maintenance, equipment upkeep. Exterior: parking lot and drive-thru cleanliness; trash removal. Supervision Workstation Operation: supervise/trains on operations; ensure compliance with procedures, systems, standards, food safety, security, and cash handling. Guest Service: train staff to deliver exceptional guest service and maintain high-quality food; respond to guest concerns professionally. Leadership: foster a friendly, safe restaurant environment; conduct onboarding/training; provide feedback and recognition; ensure personal and uniform cleanliness; escalate issues to management. Back of Restaurant Includes duties in Grill, Assembly, Prep, Fryer, Interior, Exterior, and Receiving & Storage; ensure food safety, quality, and cleanliness across areas. Grill/Assembly/Prep/Fryer/Interior/Exterior/Receiving & Storage: follow procedures for preparation, packaging, defrosting, cleanliness, equipment maintenance, and inventory control; ensure FIFO and safety standards. Qualifications Experience: 6 consecutive months JIB experience and 100% certified in all workstations for internal promotions, or 1-year supervisory experience in a restaurant or retail customer service environment. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Must be at least 18; complete Team Leader training; ServSafe certification where required; proficient in English; additional language skills based on location; strong interpersonal, math, organizational, and leadership abilities; high integrity. Physical Requirements: Ability to stand/walk 90–95% of shift; lift/carry 15–25 lbs; ability to listen to orders and operate cash register.
