Job Description

Position Summary Responsible for managing the overall operations of a Jack in the Box unit. Uses discretion in daily management decisions with accountability for ensuring effective execution of the Service Profit Chain (SPC) and Brand Promise. Develops team to provide excellent internal service, external service, and build restaurant sales and profit while ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Key Duties / Responsibilities Internal Service: Recruit, select, train, develop, and evaluate restaurant employees; manage staffing and training systems; identify internal candidates for management positions; ensure execution of "My Promise to You" and SPC; create employee-friendly environment; motivate and recognize employees; comply with labor laws. External Service: Manage daily operations to achieve excellence in guest service; ensure training and accountability; respond to guest concerns promptly; uphold brand image of cleanliness and service. Sales & Profits: Analyze operational and financial performance; identify trends and implement action plans; increase sales and profitability through SPC; monitor costs and budget adherence. Qualifications Education: High School Diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred. Experience: Internal Promote: Minimum 1+ years as Associate Manager and/or 2 years as First Assistant Manager, fully certified in all workstations. External Recruit: Minimum 3 years managing a service concept with full P&L responsibility. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: At least 18 years old, complete Restaurant Manager training, ServSafe certified, proficient in English, strong interpersonal, analytical, organizational, self‑starter, computer proficiency, valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle, integrity. Physical Requirements Stand and walk approximately 85‑95% of shift; lift and carry 10‑65 lbs; move freely throughout the restaurant; operate restaurant equipment and drive a motor vehicle; use a computer keyboard.
