The Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation is a non-profit, volunteer-fueled organization whose mission is to cure Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis and improve the quality of life for the children and adults affected by these diseases. Our work is dramatically accelerating the research process through our varied research initiatives; we also provide extensive educational and support resources for patients and their families, medical professionals, and the public. In addition, we lead federal and state-based advocacy campaigns to support medical research funding and improve patient access to care. Position Summary :

The Foundation has an exciting opportunity available for an intern to support the Creative Services team as a graphic designer, creating print and digital collateral for both mission and revenue-generating programs as well as assisting with our digital asset management platform. The intern will report to the Associate Director, Creative Services.

This is an 8-week Internship opportunity, running from February 10 - April 3, 2025 with 20 hours/week anticipated.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities :

• Edit, create, and/or maintain graphic design content for branded communications and marketing tools
• Assist in photo editing for website & other print materials.
• Adhere to brand guidelines and complete projects according to deadline.
• Use graphic design software and work with a wide variety of media.
• Collaborate with the Creative Services staff to develop design concepts
• Receive feedback from the Creative Services staff and make necessary changes
• Assemble final presentation material for printing as needed
• Assist with digital asset management platform (DAM) to upload, tag, and store assets.

Qualifications:

• Basic knowledge of layouts, typography, line composition, color, and other graphic design fundamentals.
• Experience with InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, and Illustrator.
• Strong creative and analytical skills.
• Compelling portfolio of graphic design work.
• Must be proactive, self-directed, detail-oriented and organized.
• Ability to communicate effectively and interact professionally with multiple and diverse cross-functional teams.
• Graphic design major strongly preferred.
