Position Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented HR Onboarding Specialist to join our Human Resources team. This role provides administrative support to the HR Department and plays a key part in ensuring a smooth and efficient onboarding experience for all new hires including those covered under union Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBAs). 

Essential Responsibilities

  • Assist the Human Resources Department with day-to-day administrative tasks.
  • Support the onboarding process for new hires, including sending electronic invitations and coordinating the completion of new hire paperwork.
  • Review and verify I-9 forms to ensure compliance and proper filing.
  • Run background checks.
  • Track and confirm completion of all required training for new employees.
  • Prepare and respond to employment verification requests in a timely manner.
  • Will work with Paycor payroll system.

 

  • Skills & Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelors in business or human resources helpful not required.
  • SHRM certification a plus.
  • Experience: 3 to 5 years of experience working in a corporate office environment.
  • Skills: Strong attention to detail, ability to manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Payroll platform knowledge helpful especially Paycor; ability to run reports.
  • Language: Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
