Job Description

HR Intern **This is a hybrid opportunity and will be onsite 3 days per week** FLSA Status Non- Exempt Schedule: Monday through Friday Work hours will depend on the business hours of the time zone serviced. To the extent permitted by law, the Company may, in its sole discretion, change the work schedule to address business needs. In This Role, You Will: Provide support to key human resources functions including payroll and HR information systems. Gain hands-on experience in day-to-day HR operations and exposure to key HR systems and processes that support the employee lifecycle. Work alongside cross-functional teams to ensure smooth and efficient operations and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Responsibilities and Essential Duties: Assist with reviewing and verifying data for accuracy and completeness in timekeeping and reporting systems. Support the collection, tracking, and analysis of onboarding, exit, and other employee experience surveys. Help organize and maintain digital and physical files in alignment with company recordkeeping standards. Contribute to data quality and integrity efforts by preparing reports, performing data imports, and helping ensure system accuracy. Provide ad hoc administrative and project management support to the HR team. Work closely with assigned mentor and attend regularly scheduled one-on-one meetings to provide updates on projects. Follow weekly internship schedule as set by department supervisor and assigned mentor. Use Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel to prepare documents and presentations as requested. May perform additional functions depending on market demand and staffing in order to provide consistent quality customer service. Required Qualifications: Currently enrolled in a post-secondary education program and pursuing a degree in Human Resources Management, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Business or another related field. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word and Outlook. Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to communicate professionally and effectively, verbally and in writing, with candidates, third-parties, and all levels of company staff. Professional, customer-focused attitude and a strong understanding of confidentiality. Highly-motivated self-starter with strong work ethic, exceptional attention to detail, and ability to support multiple projects and tasks simultaneously. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment; ability to multi-task, change direction, effectively prioritize, and meet deadlines with both local and remote staff. Demonstrate a strong commitment to continuous learning, actively seeking out opportunities to acquire new skills and stay abreast of industry trends. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with teams across and at all levels of the organization. Reliable transportation. Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in a corporate setting within Human Resources with demonstrated success meeting deadlines. Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit for extended periods; reach with hands and arms; operate computer and phone systems; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to move about. The employee is required to be physically present in the office. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to twenty (20) pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
