We are seeking Aides to become part of our team. You will provide care to clients in their homes.

We do two interviews: One with AMR staff, and a second with the prospective client. This can take up to three weeks to arrange and have you start, so please be patient with the hiring process.

Responsibilities:

• A Professional attitude.
  • AMR Health employs professionals who provide home health aide services. We expect our aides to act professionally.
  • Aides stay with the same client for the duration of their employment. We need you to be there.
• Monitor and report changes in client health status.
  • Recognize and communicate changes in the client to AMR Health, the client, medical professionals, and authorized family.
• Be the bridge between the clients' desires and their abilities.
  • Bathing, dressing, meal preparation, light housekeeping, safe activities, conversation and companionship, technology help. Be an enthusiastic helper.
  • Engage socially with the person under your care.
  • Learn their desires and about their lives.
  • Find ways you can be of benefit beyond the care of their health.
    • People like to feel like life still matters in old age, we help them get there as much as we can.
  • Advocate
    • You are with your client more than anyone, know their needs and habits, this is beneficial to their health.
• A clean driving record and a personal vehicle.
  • Run errands in the client's vehicle, or your vehicle.
  • We reimburse you if you travel more than 12 miles to work.
  • You are paid a higher rate for each mile you drive a client in your personal vehicle.

Qualifications:

• Be coachable
  • You must be able to adapt to change and quickly apply it to the job.
• Experience in hospice, home health, or other related fields.
  • Experienced people can start immediately.
  • We will train inexperienced people who have time to wait for the right placement.
• Ability to handle physical workload.
  • You must be able to physically assist clients in their daily needs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Communicate effectively with AMR Health personnel, your client, and their family.
  • This part of the role is essential. You are one of the faces of AMR Health.
• A strong drive to care for another person
  • AMR Health was founded by aides, so we know how hard the job is and the emotional energy it takes to be an aide.
