Global Supply Chain Subcontract Specialist Level 2 or Level 3 (R10211523)

As a Global Supply Chain Subcontract Specialist Level 2 or Level 3, you will play a crucial role in missions of paramount importance, defining the art of the possible from day one. This position is located in Promontory, UT and requires presence in the office three days per week.

Responsibilities


  • Manage and develop strategic/key suppliers.
  • Manage performance of subcontracts, ensuring compliance with all public law requirements and company policies, including import/export regulations.
  • Evaluate and monitor supplier quality and reliability in conjunction with the quality organization.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with key stakeholders such as contracts, engineering, quality, supplier development, planning, operations, program, and end?users.
  • Identify strategies and opportunities to reduce cost, improve efficiency, and manage risk through strategic and targeted negotiations.
  • Ensure appropriate documentation is provided to logistics/transportation and warehouse organization for proper receipt.
  • Forecast, review, and approve supplier payments as needed.
  • Attend program meetings and present to groups when required.
  • Work independently with strong organizational skills.


Basic Qualifications Level 2
  • Bachelors degree and 2+ years of relevant experience in Subcontracts, Contracts, or Business/Project Management OR a Masters degree. Additional 4+ years of Subcontracts experience may substitute for a degree.


Basic Qualifications Level 3
  • Bachelors degree and 5+ years of relevant experience in Subcontracts, Contracts, or Business/Project Management OR Masters degree and 3+ years of relevant experience in the same fields. Additional 4+ years of Subcontracts experience may substitute for a degree.


Additional Basic Qualifications Both Levels
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and people leadership skills; ability to leverage professional relationships.
  • Proven multitasking ability; resilience when faced with multiple deadlines and competing priorities.
  • Knowledge of the government acquisition process with a strong familiarity of FAR, DFARS, and NASA NFS regulations.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Masters degree in Supply Chain, Business, or Finance.
  • Negotiation skills and experience with high?dollar contracts.
  • Self?starter with strong problem?solving skills.
  • Detail?oriented, strategic thinker, and analytical.
  • Ability to mentor other subcontract professionals of varying experience levels.



Compensation & Benefits

Salary ranges: Primary $63,800.00 $95,800.00; Secondary $78,700.00 $118,100.00. The position follows a 9/80 schedule. Eligible for overtime, shift differential, discretionary bonuses, and Long?Term Incentives for senior roles.

Benefits include health insurance, life and disability insurance, savings plan, paid holidays, and PTO for vacation and personal business.
